DESCRIPTION:

A Marigold is known as “Gendu Phoola “ in Odisha. It's a head ornament for the tribal women of Odisha and is commonly used in all puja ceremonies during the autumn and winter season. With marigold there are little butterflies handwoven in the palla with small flowering plants as creepers, creating a beautiful scene of a wild garden. This design reflects my love for nature and ‘Koraput’. The design is handwoven with fine handspun Tussar silk by the precise hands of our Masterweaver in Odisha which takes about 25 days to weave one saree.
