Lotus Parrot is one of Vani Vrtti’s original collections, designed by Anupriya Mridha and woven exclusively for the brand by weaver families in Odisha. The pattern is resist-dyed straight into the yarn before it is even woven, so the motif isn’t sitting on top of the fabric, it is part of it. It is "ikat", one of the most complicated crafts, requiring massive mathematical calculations, expert hands, and highly skilled artisans.
