Extra warp also Dobby is a technique where additional warp ends are inserted in border of the saree and used to create a decorative pattern on top of the saree border. DOBBY / EXTRA WARP

DESCRIPTION:
Mulberry silk threads are tied and dyed to precision, forming the pattern of a lotus Pond where the lotus blooms with all glory and the goldfishes play in its shade underwater. A design that reflects life, nature and self-sustainability. A design that is in Monochrome yet lively. A design that defines the fine curvilinear lines of Odisha Ikkat and it’s weavers skills. A weaver's precise mind and hands working in harmony can only get a line art like effect through the most complicated ikat technique on textiles.

Here we present an artwork of Lotus Pond transformed on a wearable saree through the old traditional technique of Ikkat.
