DESCRIPTION:

6 Yards of Devotion. Like the modern-day Mira she is, couturier Anupriya Mridha's sadhana of Lord Krishna is through art. Every inch of the new Lotus & Banana Leaf saree is worship through craftmanship. As an artist & avid student of art, Anupriya took inspiration from Pichwai and Kangra paintings to conceptualize the design. But, the most influential muse of all was Nature; its lines, patterns, colors & its singularity. Like Vani Vrtti's iconic Lotus Parrot, the Lotus & Banana Leaf saree has a novel curvilinear Ikat pattern crafted by skilled artisans of the highest order. Banana motifs on Ikat are unique to Vani Vrtti. The saree is dyed three times to bring out the patterns & achieve the intensely pigmented midnight cyan hue. This gem is a result of deep devotion. Every single detail from the auspicious fruit-bearing banana trees to blooming lotus blossoms bless the wearer.
