The tussar silk pieces carry the natural warmth and matte finish of wild \u003cem\u003eAntheraea mylitta\u003c\/em\u003e silk from Gopalpur, Odisha.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe collection was designed by Anupriya Mridha, a textile designer trained at NIFT Delhi and founder of Vani Vrtti, who has worked exclusively with Odisha handloom weavers since 2016.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOdisha ikat holds a Geographical Indication tag a government certification that protects the regional craft identity of the weave. Gopalpur tussar silk carries its own GI tag, registered in 2009.
